Translate.One is committed to implementing measures designed to protect the privacy of those using our services. Although Translate.One respects the privacy of Site visitors, we do collect information from and about our users. Non-personally-identifiable information:

(a) General: When users come to our Site, we collect and aggregate information indicating their home server, but not their e-mail addresses. Such information helps us identify the most popular content and portions of our Site and determine the effectiveness of our various promotional activities. We aggregate such information for internal review and thereafter it’s superseded by more recent information.

For instance, the names and contact information of persons who visit our Web sites are added to our data base so that, for example, they may be contacted in the future regarding Translate.One products, services or future opportunities. Such contact may occur by email, telephone or mail, as Translate.One deems appropriate.

(b) Lack of Translate.One’s Responsibility For Third Party Content On Site: Translate.One cannot and does not control the acts of the users of its Web site’s services or monitor the accuracy of postings by such users. All users should be aware that, when they disclose personally identifiable information in a bulletin board, chat room, or other forum or public area of this Site, the information might be collected, circulated, and used by others. How We Use Non-Personally Identifiable Information: We aggregate data on users’ home servers for internal review purposes, in order to build higher quality, more useful online services. Following such internal review, such aggregated information is then superseded by more recent information.

How We Use Personally-Identifiable Information: Translate.One provides notice to users that personally-identifiable (i.e., non-aggregated) information will be collected during the Web-browsing process; this Privacy Policy also serves as notice that such information is collected under those circumstances. Translate.One may use such information to enhance your experience by providing such information to appropriate third parties, as reviewed and selected by Translate.One.

Translate.One reserves the right to disclose information contained in our access logs concerning any user as we reasonably feel is necessary to protect our systems or business. In particular, we reserve the right to disclose such when a user is in violation of our privacy policy and other published guidelines, or initiates or participates (or is reasonably believed so) in any illegal activity, even without a subpoena, warrant, or other court order, and to disclose such information in response to court and governmental orders, civil subpoenas, Electronic Discovery requests, and as otherwise required by law.

This also includes other Site visitors and the manner in which they might use information received either from Translate.One or independently.

CAN-SPAM Act Adherence

Our company is in accordance with the CAN-SPAM Act. Congress passed the CAN-SPAM Act to curtail the rampant abuse of commercial e-mail messages. The act directs that any commercial e-mail message that contains false header information that can mislead recipients as to its origin, or any message sender using a computer without authorization with the intent to send multiple commercial e-mails is in violation of the law.

Privacy Shield Framework

Translate.One complies with the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework and Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use, and retention of personal information transferred from the European Union and Switzerland to the United States. Translate.One has certified to the Department of Commerce that it adheres to the Privacy Shield Principles. If there is any conflict between the terms in this privacy policy and the Privacy Shield Principles, the Privacy Shield Principles shall govern. Translate.One has further committed to refer unresolved Privacy Shield complaints to JAMS, an alternative dispute resolution provider located in the United States. If you do not receive timely acknowledgment of your complaint from us, or if we have not addressed your complaint to your satisfaction, please contact or visit https://www.jamsadr.com/eu-us-privacy-shield for more information or to file a complaint. The services of JAMS are provided at no cost to you.

Under certain conditions, more fully described on the Privacy Shield website, you may invoke binding arbitration when other dispute resolution procedures have been exhausted.

Translate.One will cooperate with EU data protection authorities (DPAs) and the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) and comply with the advice given by such authorities with regard to human resources data transferred from the EU and Switzerland in the context of the employment relationship.

Each individual can access their personal data and find out the purpose for which their data is processed. To access your data, please contact privacyshield@trustpoint.one. Translate.One will notify our customer or client and in certain situations may not be able to fully disclose data due to legal obligations. Translate.One will not disclose any information to a third party without the written consent of the law firm or corporate law department.  Translate.One offers individuals the opportunity to opt-out of personal information disclosed to a third party or used for a purpose different from the originally collected purpose. Translate.One may transfer personal information to a third party and we will take reasonable and appropriate steps to ensure the third party processes personal information for limited and specified purposes and in a manner consistent with Translate.One’s Privacy Shield obligations (https://www.privacyshield.gov). If a transfer to a third-party agent acting on behalf of our organization, Translate.One may be liable if the third parties fail to meet those obligations, and we are responsible for the event giving rise to the damage.

Translate.One is subject to the investigatory and enforcement powers of the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). Translate.One may be required to disclose personal information in response to a lawful request by government authority, including to meet national security or law enforcement requirements.

Changes To Content On This Page

Translate.One will occasionally update this privacy policy. When we do, we will also revise the “last updated” date at the bottom of the privacy statement.
